How Long Can You Hang Onto a Positive, Uplifted, and Peaceful State of Mind?

I have a question for you today, and be honest with yourself when thinking about this. How long can you hold onto a positive, uplifted, and peaceful state of mind? Have you ever tried to keep your mind focused on something positive for an extended period of time? Without having had some training it can be quite difficult for most of us to do this for an extended period.

Most of us, up until we have some awakening, are living our lives just reacting to everything that happens to us or reacting in the way that is in accordance with our perspective of how we perceive the world to be. Unless some sort of shift in our perception of ourselves and this realm of existence occurs we may not realize that we are attracting many of the situations that we find ourselves in, both good and bad. Up until the moment comes when we realize that our thoughts are very powerful and they affect everything that happens in our life most of us probably never give a thought to choosing our thoughts, much less choosing them wisely. Up until the moment we realize the power of our thoughts many of us find ourselves in a constant cycle of negative thinking.
Perhaps you find yourself in a cycle of negative thinking. You might have terrible self-talk in which you berate yourself or your abilities and this is greatly stunting the growth of your soul. Take a moment to think about what you think about. What kinds of things do you say to yourself when something doesn't go your way? Think about the last time you were in the middle of cooking the big meal and you dropped the glass jar and it shattered all over the floor. What slips out? "This always happens!" "F*** my life." "I knew this would happen at my busiest moment!" Do you speak negatively because something bad always happens or does something negative always happen because you are always thinking from a pessimistic state of mind?
In the video "Living With a Positive, Uplifted, and Peaceful State of Mind", which I have posted below, I discuss several tools that can be very effective for many people who are working towards breaking negative life cycles and unwanted habits. These tools are great for those who are already doing some work but who may be looking for some new tools or some encouragement and they are also great for those who are ready to begin doing some self-work and need some guidance to get started on the journey.
